The Real First Cut

May 10, 2009

Okay, no kidding around this time.  Here is the real first, rough cut of the film, which we’re now calling “Asleep with the Angels.”

If you’ve never seen a rough cut before, prepare yourself.  There’s no music.  The sound effects are rough and incomplete.  There are no visual effects (blood and muzzle flashes).  The audio is not always understandable.  The color is not corrected (though we have roughed out the black-and-white vs. color sequences).  Basically, this is the worst shape you will ever see this movie in.  It’s all uphill from here.

Don has been doing a fantastic job, and, as I think you can see, it’s really coming together due in large part to his efforts.
