Good Intentions

“Good Intentions” was an ill-conceived attempt to make a movie virtually by myself.

The idea was, I’d shoot a couple scenes as a proof-of-concept, show it to some people, and get enough money to finish it.

Because I’m an idiot, I thought I’d DP the thing myself.  The final product was profoundly lacking, as you can see.  On top of that, the sound was messed up on several of the scenes.  Essentially, it was useless, even to put on one’s reel.

I wound up ditching the whole project in despair.  Some footage didn’t even make it past the digitizing stage.  All that remains is the scene you see here.

I did learn a valuable lesson, though: You can’t do it on your own.  I waited to do my next project until I could find a decent cast and crew; the end result was far superior.

Also, note the lack of the Good Luck Alligator.  Coincidence?  I think not!
